KASIA (Vocals & Bass)

KASIA (Catherine Krol) is a Polish-American artist based in Chicago. Her music fuses pop, R&B, jazz, and bossa nova, drawing inspiration from artists like Christina Aguilera, Ella Fitzgerald, and Corinne Bailey Rae. The project has been featured in publications such as Two Story Melody, MXDWN and Jammerzine.

KASIA has built a global reputation, debuting as a pop & jazz singer at Dorian’s (US), Bahari Irish Pub (ID), Quito Jazz Club (EC), Fingers Piano Bar (UK) and W Oparach Absurdu (PL). Traveling with a repertoire of songs in various languages – including Indonesian, Italian, and Polish, to name a few, KASIA has her heart set on sharing her music with the world.

Joey Buttlar (Drums)

Joey Buttlar is a Chicago-based drummer with over a decade of experience as a sideman and studio musician, who is equally comfortable performing in an orchestra pit, jazz club, or a basement full of punks. In 2024 he joined KASIA for her international debut show in Malang, Indonesia. His recording credits include KASIA’s latest single, Don’t Ask Me What I’m Doing This Christmas and 2024 full length studio album, From KASIA, With Love.

Noegroho Samodra (Guitar)

Noegroho Samodra is an Indonesian guitarist who began playing at age five and developed largely by ear in a family where music was shared organically. Largely self-taught, he draws from bossa nova, swing, straight-ahead jazz, fusion, bolero, The Beatles, and punk, shaping a fluid, genre-agnostic approach.

Trained in international relations and public communication, he also works in diplomacy and has served in Chile and Ecuador, while performing at jazz festivals and venues in Indonesia, Chile, and most recently Quito Jazz Club. Influenced by Antônio Carlos Jobim, John Scofield, Pat Metheny, Chico Pinheiro, Charlie Byrd, and Kurt Rosenwinkel, he continues to approach music as heritage, discipline, and a lifelong conversation.
